Football Expert Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions
The Gunners' ten-match winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the international break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a variety of guests.
In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
Murs' new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Soccer and Family Experiences
Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his wife his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I won't force football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he said.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, however. Burnley are disciplined and their sole home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was still Forest coach.
So, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?
I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four games.
My son advised me to get Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.
Fulham have have lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.
But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
The guest's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
