The visionary game developer, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The influential video game developer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
